1. Schedule your date/time for your flight and pay a deposit to hold your booking.
2. When you are finished booking, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to complete your travel paperwork online. (We ask that you submit the paperwork right away so we can file your paperwork with U.S customs and border protection)
3. Once we review the paperwork and everything is satisfactory, you will receive an email that the documentation has been accepted. Nothing else is required until the day of your flight. If additional information is required, we will reach out to you to obtain it.
4. Within 24 hours of your flight, get a PCR or rapid antigen COVID-19 test conducted as required by the CDC. These can be done at any approved testing establishment (ie Shoppers Drug Mart) and can be a PCR or rapid test. All non-U.S Citizens are required to be fully vaccinated and show a covid-19 test to board.
5. On the morning of your flight, you bring your vehicle that you want to have transported to the St. Catherines airport for 7:00 AM to be loaded on the truck. (If you are bringing your vehicle to the states) At this point, you will transfer the keys to the driver.
6. Within the hour before your scheduled departure time, our ground crew will give you a safety briefing and collect the remaining payment. Make sure you have all of your travel documents (passport etc.) before you leave.
7. Enjoy the scenic views on your way across the border!
8. When the helicopter lands at Buffalo Intl Airport, a customs officer will meet you right at the helicopter before you disembark. A few minutes later the customs officer gives you the thumbs up and the pilot will walk you through a private terminal, where you can grab refreshments before heading out to the parking lot where your vehicle will be waiting for you. (if you chose to ship your car)
9. Have a great time in the United States of America.
The helicopter flight is $1,800.00 plus tax Your booking secures 3 seats on a helicopter. *There may be another group of 3 on your helicopter. If you require more than 3 seats, please book two flight bookings. We also require a $500 deposit at the time of booking. If you choose to cancel your booking, the deposit is non-refundable however, $160 of the deposit can be used as a credit toward one of our other great heli-tour packages.
The vehicle transportation cost is an additional $700.00 or $1600.00 for larger vehicles (RV’s and vehicles towing trailers).
There is a max weight capacity of 530 lbs, for pets, luggage and passengers (between three seats). Per seat, there is a max weight of 275 lbs. Pets are more than welcome but require their own seat. The only exceptions are small pets that can fit in one crate that takes up one seat. (for example, two cats that fit in one crate only take up one seat.)
The dimensions of the luggage compartment and seats are not large. So you will need to pack light. If you are shipping your car, large luggage can be shipped with your vehicle. Please give us a call to verify if something will or will not fit in the helicopter.

The White House announced that vaccines will be required for international travellers coming into the United States, with an effective date of November 8, 2021. We used this service last November 28th to get to Florida. We flew out of Hamilton. Everything was great with the helicopter, GLH, and the cute terminal. The flight actually left early. The weather was great and the flight was 40 minutes long and smooth. The pilot was wonderful and the ride was quite exciting. Only the dog was antsy. Customs in the US was a breeze.
The only issue was with the guy transporting our car. There was confusion – he was calling us to see where we were two hours before we we planned to be there. Consequently the car was transported later than we were told. Our car was supposed to be waiting for us in Buffalo when we arrived. We had to wait at the Buffalo terminal for two hours for the car. Made for a late start on the drive.
We are using the service again this year from St. Catharines. We hope there is less confusion with the car. Everything seems much more organized this season. The flight price is up $500. Car transport is the same cost. It’s expensive but it beats spending the winter in Ontario.

My husband and I used the service on October 13th, 2021.
The staff and service from GLHeli and Oakwood Transport were amazing. There was a slight delay with one of the helicopters but all in all everything else went smoothly. I can’t recall the pilot (in the blue helicopter) name but he was excellent and the ride was something my husband and I will never forget. Just wished it was a longer ride LOL.
We would definitely use their services again. I am so glad the owner of GLHeli came up with this solution with the borders being closed to us in driving across. Highly recommend to all. Happy flying!!
